Students Attend U.N. Meeting for International Day of the Girl
In recognition of the International Day of the Girl, the Working Group on Girls hosted Girls Speak Out, an event at the United Nations celebrating young advocates who are working to advance the rights of women and girls around the world.
The event highlighted young advocates for women’s and girls’ rights, who spoke passionately about issues ranging from child marriage and menstrual equity to the exploitation of women through artificial intelligence (AI). This event served as a powerful example for our young women, demonstrating how they can use their voices, advocate for change, and take action to create a more equitable world.
