100% of Lacordaire graduates are accepted into at least one of their top three college choices

At Lacordaire, college counseling begins the moment a student enters the Upper School. In a small-school environment where faculty know their students well, the Dean of Student Affairs works closely with each girl to shape a high school experience that reflects her individual interests, abilities, and aspirations. Academic planning, leadership opportunities, extracurricular involvement, and college preparation develop together rather than in isolation.

Counseling takes place through individual meetings as well as dedicated guidance classes, giving students both personal attention and a framework for thinking carefully about the years ahead. They learn how course selection, academic performance, service, leadership, and extracurricular interests contribute to a larger picture of who they are and what they might pursue.

By the time they begin the college application process, students will have a strong résumé, a clear sense of themselves, the confidence to articulate what matters to them, and a thoughtful understanding of where they want to go next.

Attending Lacordaire, whose maximum class size is 25 students, significantly increases a student’s chances of admission to top colleges (in particular, colleges with acceptance rates below 20%).
