Advanced STEM Academy - This year-long, cross grade level course provides opportunities for Upper School students to explore a variety of STEM subject areas in-depth and gain early exposure to STEM careers. With a focus on active learning, students will engage in labs, field trips, and case studies, as well as have the opportunity to interact with current female scientists in the field. Recent topics that were covered included Marine Sciences, Anatomy and Climate Change. The course culminates in a capstone project which includes a 6-day program at the Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences (BIOS) led by the BIOS Education Director and Lacordaire Upper School Alumna Kaitlin Noyes ‘02.
