Don your prettiest pastels and fanciest fascinators and celebrate the Run for the Roses with us! Sip mint juleps, enjoy light bites, try your hand at equestrian-themed games, compete in our fascinator contest, and experience a hand-rolled cigar bar—all before watching the Derby together.
 
Tickets:
$100 each for general admission.
 
Your ticket includes a welcome mint julep, wine & beer, hors d'oeuvres & desserts, access to the photo booth, and entry into attire contests. The cigar bar, equestrian game tickets, and raffle basket tickets are available à la carte for an additional cost (to be purchased at the event).
 
Please note that this is a fundraiser for Lacordaire. The ticket price covers the cost of running the event and does not contribute to funds raised. Come prepared to participate in all the fun, including high-end raffle baskets and hand-rolled cigars. Pricing for various levels of participation, to be paid for during the event, is below!

  • What is the Kentucky Derby event?

    A Kentucky Derby themed PARTY and fundraiser with mingling, drinking, contests, games, raffle baskets, Derby viewing & FUN! Like a cocktail party, there will be drinks and hors d’oeuvres. No outside food or drink permitted. There will be unassigned seating at bar-style tables available. 

  • What is included with my ticket?

    Foremost is FUN! Guests will be welcomed with a classic mint julep on the lawn of James Hall (weather permitting), kicking off an hour of socializing and lawn games. The celebration then moves to the gym, where guests will enjoy wine and beer, along with a delicious selection of hors d’oeuvres and desserts.
     
    Don’t miss the attire contests—“Finest Fascinator,” “Dapper Dan,” and “Dashing Duo”—plus a photo booth featuring festive Kentucky Derby–themed props.
     
    Raffle and game tickets will also be available for purchase throughout the evening, offering even more opportunities for fun and prizes.

  • What is the attire? 

    Derby attire! Don your best hat & dress or suit & tie and enter one of our attire contests!

  • Is babysitting available?

    Limited babysitting will be available for a fee for Lacordaire students & siblings with adult chaperones. All attending must be potty trained.
    RESERVE IN ADVANCE when you purchase your ticket. 

  • How much are raffle tickets and what are the prizes?

    RAFFLE tickets are $25 for one sheet (26 tickets). $20 for 10 tickets.  There'll be around 15 premium prizes valued at $250 to over $500! Winning tickets will be drawn at the evening's end and winning numbers will be displayed. If you plan on leaving before the end of the event, your name & telephone number must be on back of raffle tickets.
Games and Cigar Bar
Exciting equestrian-themed skill games, a horse derby draw, and a cigar bar—where guests can unwind and sample a variety of cigars—will be available à la carte at the event with the purchase of game tickets. Each activity requires a set number of tickets, or guests may opt for an all-access pass to enjoy everything the event has to offer.

Raffle Tickets
High-end raffle baskets featuring sought-after goods and exclusive experiences will be on display in the gym the evening before the event. Guests are encouraged to stop by for a preview, or purchase tickets during the event itself for a chance to win.
