The Lacordaire Fund
Every Milestone, Every Moment, Every Student
Your support of The Lacordaire Fund ensures that every day, every student has access to a safe campus and transformative learning experiences.
Revenue from tuition covers only salaries and benefits. The Lacordaire Fund provides a vital 7% of our operating budget each year, supporting essential expenses such as utilities, campus maintenance, textbooks, academic resources, classroom supplies and instructional software licenses, and emergency needs.

Thanks to our founders, the Caldwell Dominicans, thousands of students have been educated in our classrooms, carrying the values of the Academy into their lives and careers. Today, Lacordaire thrives as a leader in primary and secondary liberal arts education, with brand-new state-of-the-art science labs, an award-winning public speaking program, an international travel program, and a track record of students earning admission to top colleges. With your support, we will continue to inspire and educate future generations for years to come.

Leadership Circle Gifts
These circles honor donors who step forward as philanthropic leaders for Lacordaire through their generous contributions. Make a gift of $1,000 or more and be part of a Lacordaire Leadership Circle. Corporate matching gifts count toward giving levels.

Leadership Circle Members
Members of leadership circles will receive invitations to the annual donor appreciation event in Montclair. The event takes place following the end of the fiscal year of your donation.If you donate between July 1, 2024 and June 30, 2025, you will receive an invitation to the fall 2025 event.

Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs)
If giving through a DAF, provide your administrator with Lacordaire Academy’s tax ID and mailing address. Specify your gift designation, especially if it is not for The Lacordaire Fund, so the grant letter reflects your intent. -

Gifts of Securities
To give stocks, mutual funds, or other securities, contact Denise Wagner, Director of Major Gifts, at dwagner@lacordaire.net. Donate appreciated stock and you may avoid paying capital gains tax. -
IRA Distributions
Are you required to take a minimum distribution from your IRA? If you don’t need it or want it to affect your income, you can donate the distribution directly to Lacordaire Academy and even save money on your taxes. Speak with your financial advisor on how to make this happen. -
Planned Gifts and Bequests
Support Lacordaire’s mission while enjoying financial and tax benefits. A bequest from a will or trust can benefit the school you love. Your assets remain yours during your lifetime. For details, contact Denise Wagner at dwagner@lacordaire.net. -
Beneficiary Designations
Do you have a life insurance policy or retirement account your family doesn’t need anymore?Consider making Lacordaire a beneficiary. -
Memorial and Honor Gifts
Make a gift in memory of or in honor of alumni, faculty, staff, parents, or friends. It is a great way to commemorate a special occasion, such as birthdays, weddings, or holidays. Please include a note with your contribution, including the name/address of anyone we should notify of this thoughtful tribute. The amount contributed will not be included when notifying the recipient. -
