Lacordaire Academy’s Lower School offers a well-balanced curriculum that both engages and challenges students through inquiry, innovation, and project-based learning. Our youngest learners explore the world around them with hands-on, interactive activities that spark curiosity and creativity.
Equally important, our program emphasizes the development of character, which nurtures citizenship, global awareness, faith, and a lifelong love of learning. Teachers work collaboratively to ensure a clear progression of skills across grade levels, while personalizing instruction to meet the needs of each child.
The foundation of the curriculum is built on reading, language arts, social studies, math, science, and religion, with instruction tailored to individual learning styles.
Developmentally structured reading and math programs allow children to progress at their own pace. STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) is integrated at every grade level, with technology woven throughout the classroom experience.
Students also benefit from a wide variety of enrichment opportunities, including art, French language, music, physical education, computer science, and creative dramatics. Field trips, guest speakers, and hands-on projects bring learning to life, while strong communication between parents and teachers supports every child’s growth. Our goal is simple: to nurture joyful, confident learners who are prepared to succeed in school and beyond.
We look forward to meeting you!
